Dimsport Race Newsletter Simos 8.3 Simos 8.4 OBD Tuning
With this Dimsport update it is now possible to tune Cars like the Volkswgen Touareg 3.9 TFSI 213kw and the Audi A4 3.0 V6 TFSI with 245kW OBD.

MOD : FLASH_0396 VAG CONTINENTAL SIMOS 8.3/8.4 CAN FULL OBD2 ID/W
ATTENTION!
the FULL OBD2 system is now available for SIMOS8.3 e SIMOS8.4 ECUs on VAG.
Trough the FULL OBD2 mode selection you can write via OBDII diagnostic port WITHOUT
OPENING the ECU nor performing the PATCH UNLOCK with the New Trasdata.
In order to be able to work properly you must download the TOTAL ORIGINAL CERTIFIED file
corresponding to your ID from the Dimsport database.
If the total original certified file does not exist in the Dimsport database, you can contact
Technical Support, they will check the file availability. Alternatively you can read and send them
the complete ECU (.DIM) file read by New Trasdata, the technical support will answer for its
validation.
Nevertheless, if necessary, the protocol will still support the previous OBD2+UNLOCK system that
oblige to previously perform the ECU unlock via New Trasdata.

ATTENTION!
The new protocol FLASH_0683 has only ID and WRITING functions, after the IDentification it is
necessary to verify IF in Dimsport databank is present the corresponding certified ORI file to use
for the modification. If the matching certified file does not exist in the Dimsport database you
can contact Technical Support, they will check the file availability. Alternatively you can read the
complete ECU (.DIM) file by New Trasdata plugin 1089 and use the .DTF file extracted from the
complete .DIM backup file.
Send the complete DIM backup file to the Race technical support for the setting file creation.

NEW CVN VAG FUNCTION
New IMPORTANT feature introduced in the Race world dedicated to VAG group
(AUDI, SEAT, SKODA, VOLKSWAGEN)
equipped with CONTINENTAL PCR2.1
CVN - Calibration Verification Number
The Calibration Verification Number is assigned to every calibration software by the
car manufacturer to verify the file integrity; every software calibration has its own
CVN hidden inside.
The checksum dll E131 version 7.008 has been modified with the ORIGINAL CVN
RESTORE system.
To properly restore the CVN it is necessary to:
during the Search for Checksum function you must supply always the
original stock file of the vehicle for the chks calculation
using the Race setting file load always in RAM1 the original stock file of the
vehicle or the Dimsport certified .ORI file with the correct IDentification
numbers.
Such dll version has been modified for the Race Evo, DSManager and New Trasdata system,
the file with correct CVN can be written with New Genius & New Trasdata.
