Dimsport Update CVN Patch
With this update Dimsport wants to help chiptuners and their customers maintain the original CVN test number even after optimizing the engine control unit software.
We've been offering this CVN patch to BMW for almost a year already and are very pleased with the results.
NEW CVN VAG FUNCTION
New IMPORTANT feature introduced in the Race world dedicated to VAG group
(AUDI, BENTLEY, BUGATTI, LAMBORGHINI, PORSCHE, SEAT, SKODA, VOLKSWAGEN)
equipped with BOSCH EDC17xx & MED17x CVN - Calibration Verification Number
The Calibration Verification Number is assigned to every calibration software by the car manufacturer to verify the file integrity; every software calibration has its own CVN hidden inside.The checksum dll E94 version 8.005 has been modified with theORIGINAL CVN RESTORE system.
To properly restore the CVN it is necessary to:
during the Search for Checksum function you must supply always the
original stock file of the vehicle for the chks calculation
using the Race setting file load always in RAM1 the original stock file of the
vehicle or the Dimsport certified .ORI file with the correct IDentification numbers.
Such dll version has been modified for the Race Evo, DSManager and New Trasdata
system, the file with correct CVN can be written with New Genius & New Trasdata.

NEW: FLASH_0670 BMW FXX BOSCH MEVD17XX M&S CAN petrol id/w
ATTENTION!
The new protocol FLASH_0670 has only ID and WRITING functions, after the IDentification it is
necessary to verify IF in Dimsport databank is present the corresponding certified ORI file to use
for the modification. If the matching certified file does not exist in the Dimsport database you
can contact Technical Support, they will check the file availability. Alternatively you can read the
complete ECU (.DIM) file by New Trasdata and use the .DTF file extracted from the complete
.DIM backup file.
Send the complete DIM backup file to the Race technical support for the setting file creation.
